A Community Fundraiser
Help Make Your Mark on the COCO-OP Darkroom
As the completion of the COCO-OP Darkroom draws near, we’re inviting our community to help us raise funds for the chemistry and remaining materials needed to support our 2026–27 class offerings.
Your donation will directly help us keep our offerings affordable and accessible for our community.
It has been our goal to keep our community at the heart of the design and development of our new darkroom. Now, we’re giving you the opportunity to become a permanent part of that space.
We invite photographers to submit their work for a chance to have their photograph engraved into a ceramic tile and installed as a permanent part of the darkroom backsplash.
It’s our way of bringing the community into the darkroom before the doors even open and creating a lasting visual representation of the people, places, and stories that make Northern Arizona special.

What does Flagstaff mean to you?
When you think of our town and the surrounding Northern Arizona landscape, what comes to mind?
Your submission might be inspired by the historic architecture of Route 66, the landscapes that surround us, the people who call Flagstaff home, or the everyday moments that make this community unique.
Whether your perspective is iconic or unexpected, we want to see what Northern Arizona looks like through your eyes.
SUBMISSION FEE
$35 minimum donation
The submission fee is a donation that directly supports the completion of the COCO-OP Darkroom and helps provide the chemistry and materials needed for our upcoming 2026–27 classes.
Participants are welcome to donate more than the $35 minimum.
A Note About Submissions
✦︎Because the tile installation will become a permanent part of a shared community space, submissions containing nudity or other inappropriate subject matter will not be considered.

Real world physical dimensions of the tiles that we will be using are listed above.
We kindly ask for the highest possible resolution JPEG file you are able to provide.
✦︎Please note that in order to make your images work for this project, the COCO-OP reserves the right to crop and alter aspect ratios of submitted images. We will do our best to keep your work as close to your original as possible.
✦︎As you can see above, images will be HIGH CONTRAST when engraved onto tile. Please take this into consideration when composing your image.
✦︎All submissions will be considered and evaluated equally, regardless of the amount donated.
